What (or who) is Willz Designz?

Family-owned business founded by Graham Williams (GWillz) - I am a graphic artist (by hobby) and I have played disc golf since 2020. I combined my love of the sport with graphic art to create disc golf designs and products. I also create custom event logos. My career is information technology and I spend time on this project as a hobby to help grow the sport of disc golf. It also is a way for me to give back to the community.

When will applications be open?

Applications will open September 1st 2025 and will be accepted through midnight September 30th 2025.

When will sponsored players be announced?

Sponsorship recipients will be announced on Jan 15th 2026. If selected, you will receive an invitation with details about the sponsorship. For any athlete who accepts a sponsorship, next steps will be to work on player logos and deliver team shirts in time for disc golf tournaments in spring and summer. What will sponsored players receive?

• Between $200-$350 for 2026 tournament fees* (depends on player skill level and type of sponsorship)

• Custom disc golf logo created by Willz Designz

• Performance shirt to wear to events. The shirts can contain other sponsors if the player has multiple sponsors

• Team hoodie, t-shirt or long sleeve shirt (featuring all player logos for the 2026 team) - see examples below from 2024 Team

How are players selected?

Players are selected based on the quality of the application and these factors:

• Someone who has demonstrated efforts to help grow the sport of disc golf in their community

• Someone who can be competitive in disc golf events

• Someone who would be a good ambassador for the Willz Designz brand and the Team Mission

Player selection is not solely based on disc golf skills (e.g., scores, tournament results, player ratings). Players are selected based on a combination of all of the listed criteria.

What are expectations of sponsored players?

• Play in 4-5 PDGA-sanctioned tournaments in 2026. PDGA membership must be active

• Notify me ~2 weeks in advance of tournament registrations. Funds will be distributed after proof of tournament entry

• Show good sportsmanship throughout the year

• Professional conduct on social media while sponsorship is active

• Post on social media* about disc golf tournaments you compete in and thank any active sponsors

• Junior applicants will be asked to have a parent or guardian confirm that it is OK for the player to be sponsored

• Wear player performance shirt* at least 1 day during competition or during warm up rounds.
